Darryl Garibay

President

Darryl Garibay is the President and founder (1999) of Advanced Parking Systems (“APS”). Prior to APS, Darryl worked for 9 years in the parking industry.

During his 29+ years in parking, Darryl has signed and overseen over 135 contracts and operations. He has a refined understanding of the many facets of parking—self, valet, lifts, etc., as well as an excellent understanding what is important to a client.

Darryl directs the Company with a systematic approach with a goal of maximizing three key areas for the client: financial return, excellence in service, and trust-based relationships. He considers it a privilege to be hired and trusted by a client.

Darryl is a native Angeleno, residing in Pasadena, CA for the past 20 years, along with his wife Katy and their 3 children. Darryl coaches little league baseball in Sierra Madre, CA, regularly attends Christian Assembly Church in Eagle Rock, CA and has provided support in a local Boy Scout Troop, where his son became an Eagle Scout.

Darryl is an alumnus of the University of Redlands.

Richard W. Tom profile photo

Richard W. Tom

Executive Vice President

Mr. Tom is a founding partner of APS. He is involved in all aspects of the company and is an expert at creating solutions, systems and procedures to achieve efficiencies and cost savings for customers. Combining 30+ years in public sector information technology with 20+ years of private sector parking experience, he has developed a hybrid approach that provides customers with optimized solutions.

Mr. Tom is a major contributor to the success of APS. He is focused on creating customized financial packages for clients, and handling decisions regarding acquisitions, and infrastructure and personnel.

Mr. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in business information systems from California State University, Los Angeles and is married with a wonderful daughter.

Mario Guzman

Director of Operations, Los Angeles

Mr. Guzman has played an critical role in the success of APS since the Company's inception in 1999. He oversees all Los Angeles parking operations, working to maintain APS’ high standards of service and financial performance.

Mario interacts with customers & APS personnel routinely to ensure client satisfaction. A multi-talented professional, Mr. Guzman also shares responsibility for positive financial results, operations, and hiring of prospective APS team members.

He is married with 2 amazing daughters.

Sakura Kaneko Profile Poto

Sakura Kaneko

Corporate Office Manager

Originally from Toyko, Japan, Ms. Kaneko has been an essential part of APS for 16 years. Sakura oversees all activities in our Corporate office.

She personally manages payroll for the entire Company and is responsible for mentoring and guiding the APS office team. Sakura is loyal, dedicated and invested in the success of APS.

Sakura lives in Long Beach and is married with two fine sons.

Faruk Abdalah Profile Poto

Faruk Abdalah

Area Manager, Pasadena

Mr. Abdalah joined APS in 2003. He manages all APS Pasadena area operations. His responsibilities include revenue enhancement, financial analysis, hiring and training of personnel, and implementation of operational systems. Additionally, Mr. Abdalah contributes to operations in Los Angeles County.

Previously, Mr. Abdalah worked in the engineering field and in the parking industry for another company. Building on his experience and tenure at APS, he is focused on providing professional service with a smile. Always attuned to the client’s needs, Faruk strives to anticipate and exceed client needs.

Faruk is married with 4 fine children.

Joe Morgan profile photo

Joe Morgan

Site Manager, Orange County

An important part of APS since 2004, Mr. Morgan is based in Anaheim CA, overseeing the Hilton Anaheim as well as several other hotel parking operations in Orange County. He is responsible for operations, personnel and financial management at APS’ hotel operations.

Joe practices principles that differentiate APS. Initiative, diligence and achieving client satisfaction. He recognizes that parking services create the first and last impression of a business and is keenly focused on the service provided. He is further attuned to maximizing all parking revenues and maintaining close relationships with clients.

Mr. Morgan received a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from California State University, Long Beach. Joe is married with one terrific daughter.

Bradley (“BJ”) Henderson profile photo

Bradley (“BJ”) Henderson

Site Manager Orange County

Mr. Henderson has been providing excellent parking services with APS since August 2000! BJ manages one of APS’ Orange County hotel parking operations, successfully leading the team in all aspects of valet, self-parking, and bell staff duties.

His approach is contagious—100% positivity. Over the years, BJ has adapted well to changes with our clients, adapting and continuing to perform at a high level while producing positive financial results for our clients.

BJ is married with two wonderful children.

Jeremy Margarit

Site Manager, Orange County

Jeremy began his tenure with APS as a seasonal valet attendant at the APS/Hilton Costa Mesa parking operation in 2013.

Since then, he has become a valuable member of the Orange County management team. Jeremy uses his expertise in parking logistics, scheduling, and team member management to enhance APS operations.

He currently assists with the management of the parking operation for the largest hotel in Southern California.

Maria Hondoy

Assistant Manager, Pasadena

Ms. Hondoy has been a valuable member of APS since 2012. Maria consistently contributes to areas of revenue control, reporting, scheduling, projections, and payroll for Pasadena area locations.

She supervises a high-quality staff for the company. Maria's leadership is appreciated by both APS' team members and our clients.

Maria received an education at UEI College.

Isabel Guerrero profile photo

Isabel Guerrero

Accounting, Corporate Office

Ms. Guerrero has been part of APS since 2017. Isabel has become a key member of APS’ Corporate office.

Overseeing accounting for the Company and contributing to general office duties, her consistency and positive attitude have helped to develop a great Corporate office team.

Isabel graduated from California State University, Northridge with a degree in Business Management.

She lives in the City of Los Angeles along with her family.
