Darryl A. Garibay

President

 

Mr. Garibay founded Advanced Parking Systems in 1999 and is the hands-on chief executive and primary client contact for the company.

 

An entrepreneur and self-starter from his early years, Mr. Garibay established his first business at age 14. Then at age 20, he started a limousine service that he operated successfully for six years. He next gained experience working for a parking management company for nine years, signing more than 100 contracts. During this valuable term, he developed and refined his understanding of parking as a service business and a profit center, factors that now benefit APS clients.

 

As president of APS, Mr. Garibay strives for the company to be recognized by its clients as the best in the business. He directs a focused and systematic approach with a goal of maximizing three key areas of the business: finance, service, and relationships. Mr. Garibay believes in treating every client and every location as if every day were the first day of work. He recognizes that it is a complete privilege to work for his clients, taking nothing for granted.

 

Mr. Garibay is an alumnus of the University of Redlands, where he studied business administration.

Richard W. Tom

Executive Vice President

 

Mr. Tom joined Advanced Parking Systems as a founding partner in 1999. He is involved in all aspects of the company and is an expert at creating solutions, systems and procedures to achieve efficiencies and cost savings for customers.

 

Previously, Mr. Tom held positions in sales, marketing and account acquisitions. Among his notable achievements was development of a shuttle bus transportation service from inception to its completion as a major profit center. Combining 20-plus years in public sector information technology with 18 years of private sector parking industry experience, he has developed a hybrid approach that provides customers with optimized solutions offering the best of both worlds.

 

Mr. Tom is a major contributor to the vision, direction, success and growth of APS. He is focused on creating customized financial packages for clients, and handling decisions regarding acquisitions, infrastructure and personnel.

 

Mr. Tom earned a bachelor of science degree with emphasis in business information systems from California State University, Los Angeles.

Mario Guzman

Director of Operations, Los Angeles

 

Mr. Guzman has played an essential role in the success of Advanced Parking Systems since the company's inception in 1999. He oversees all Los Angeles parking operations and works closely with all site managers to maintain the company's high standards of customer service and performance.

 

Previously Mr. Guzman worked for more than five years helping manage a parking company, overseeing 19 locations, including a busy hotel. His performance was marked by an exemplary safety record and his ability to build strong customer relationships.

 

As the Director of Operations for APS, Mr. Guzman assists Mr. Garibay in day-to-day operations, oversees downtown Los Angeles locations, and assists APS managers in Orange County. He interacts with customers and APS personnel on a daily basis to ensure customer satisfaction through extraordinary service. A multi-talented professional, Mr. Guzman also shares responsibility for financial results of APS'; operations, maintenance of operations, and interviewing of prospective APS team members. A warm and personable manager, he is 100% committed to the satisfaction of every customer and continues to make a major contribution to the Company's success.

Faruk Abdalah

Area Manager, Operations and Marketing

 

Mr. Abdalah joined Advanced Parking Systems in 2003. He manages all APS Pasadena area operations including The Hilton, The Athenaeum at Caltech University, and Jones Coffee, among other clients. His responsibilities include client revenue enhancement, financial analysis, hiring and training of personnel, and implementation of operational systems. Additionally, Mr. Abdalah oversees operations in Los Angeles that include the Miyako Hotel and the American Garment Center. His duties include revenue generation and management, service training, and supervision of operations.

 

Previously, Mr. Abdalah worked in engineering and as a valet attendant with another parking company. Building on his past experience and his lengthy management tenure at APS, he is focused on providing highest quality professional service with a smile. Always attuned to the guest's perspective, he strives to anticipate and exceed client needs to achieve positive results.

Chad Evers

Site Manager, Operations and Marketing

 

Mr. Evers is based at the Hilton Anaheim and serves as APS'; Site Manager for, Southern California's largest hotel. He leads a team of 50-plus members and is responsible for hiring, service implementation, training, team oversight and personal interaction with hotel upper management.

 

After a career in retail, Mr. Evers joined Advanced Parking Systems in 2000.   During his 12-plus years with APS, he has assisted in overseeing all Orange County hotel operations. Mr. Evers also contributes to the sales and marketing efforts of APS in Orange County. Dedicated to client service and retention, Mr. Evers focuses on training associates to provide and sustain 4/5 Diamond Service to each and every guest that interacts with the APS service team.

 

Mr. Evers earned a BA from the University of Phoenix. He has completed numerous customer service training courses and continuing education workshops.

 

As a credit to his performance, Mr. Evers is a Certified Tourism Ambassador for the City of Anaheim.

 

Joe Morgan

Site Manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Anaheim - Orange County

 

Mr. Morgan works closely with DoubleTree Anaheim's staff, participating in daily and weekly meetings to make detailed parking arrangements for incoming groups and events. He is further responsible for hiring, payroll, revenue forecasting and financial management for APS at this hotel location.

 

Previously, Mr. Morgan was a sales associate and lot porter with Auto Ready, assisting in the expansion of the family owned and operated business. He also applied entrepreneurial talents with Morgan Enterprises, where he organized and managed vending machines throughout Los Angeles and Orange County.

 

With APS since 2004, Mr. Morgan understands and practices the core principles that differentiate the company. He recognizes that parking services create the first and last impression of a business, and is keenly focused on the service provided. He is further attuned to maximizing all parking revenues and maintaining close relationships with clients.

 

Mr. Morgan received a bachelor of science in criminal justice from California State University, Long Beach.
